This privacy policy explains which personal data we process when you visit gastrofid.com, for what purpose, and what rights you have. It is based on the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). Separate terms apply to our web application (app.gastrofid.com) and to client engagements.

This website is hosted on Microsoft Azure in a data centre in Western Europe. When you visit the website, the hosting provider processes technically necessary data, in particular your IP address, the date and time of access, the page requested and information about your browser. This data is used to operate the website securely and reliably and is not combined with other data.

We do not use cookies or similar technologies for analytics, tracking or advertising. We only use technically necessary entries:

• a cookie that stores your chosen language,
• cookies set by the hosting provider that route your requests to the same server during your visit,
• entries in your browser's storage for your chosen display mode (light or dark) and for hiding the notice about our offer.

These entries contain no information that would allow us to identify you. You can delete them in your browser at any time.

When you write to us through the contact form, we process your first name, last name, company, phone number, email address and message in order to answer your enquiry and, where applicable, arrange a consultation. The information is sent by email to our mailbox and processed and stored via Microsoft 365. We keep it for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any resulting business relationship, and beyond that only where statutory retention obligations apply.

We use Microsoft Bookings to schedule consultations. When you book an appointment, we process the details you enter there, in particular your name, email address, phone number and chosen time, in order to hold the call and send you reminders. Booking takes place on a Microsoft page; the data is stored in Microsoft 365. We use Microsoft Teams for online calls.

To protect the contact form from automated submissions, we use Cloudflare Turnstile, provided by Cloudflare, Inc. (USA). When you open the contact page, Turnstile checks technical characteristics of your browser and your IP address to determine whether the request comes from a person. Turnstile is loaded only on the contact page and does not use cookies for advertising or tracking.

If you contact us by email or phone, we process the information you provide in order to respond to your request.

The fonts used are served from our own server. Apart from the spam protection in the contact form, we do not embed third-party content such as maps, videos or social media plugins. The links to LinkedIn, Instagram and the booking page are plain links: data is only transferred when you click one, and is then subject to that provider's terms.

Our service providers Microsoft (Azure, Microsoft 365, Bookings, Teams) and Cloudflare may process personal data outside Switzerland, in particular in the European Economic Area and the USA. The Swiss Federal Council recognises the level of data protection in the European Economic Area as adequate. For the USA, we rely on the providers' certification under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or on contractual safeguards.

Within the scope of applicable law, you have the right to access the personal data we process about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data deleted, and to receive or transfer your data. You may object to the processing. To exercise these rights, contact info@gastrofid.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

The connection to this website is encrypted throughout (HTTPS). We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data.

We update this privacy policy when our data processing changes. The version published on this website applies.
